Mobile%20Pic %20SEAsia%202I was thrilled this morning to see that mobile phone guru Tomi Ahonen has a wonderful new posting up sharing the latest greatest stats on worldwide mobile phone types and capabilities (A Look At the Handset Industry, Market and Installed Base in 2012). 

Something prompted me to take those statistics, as well as statistics provided in the TomiAhonen Almanac 2012 which had come out earlier this year, and make a chart showing what percentage of all mobile phones in use today are capable of various mobile ministry modalities (texting, web browsing, showing videos, sharing video via Bluetooth, etc.).  Here's the visual:

Mobile%20Pic %20SAsia%206Several months back I was contacted by a friend in the Southern Baptist International Mission Board (IMB) and asked if I could collaborate with one of their workers who was producing a guide to mobile ministry.  I happily agreed and read through the first draft, providing feedback where I thought most helpful.  Last week, a number of months after receiving that initial draft and after working through several further drafts, I was blessed to be given the opportunity to make the first public introduction of the final edition of Mobile Ministry Made Easy: A Simple Guide to Begin or Advance Your Use of Mobiles at a conference I was speaking at in Europe.
