Mobile Advance: Mobile Ministry for God's Glory

This week I am heading to Africa to meet with dozens of WEC International field workers gathered from throughout that continent and I will be seeking to encourage and equip them to take up the amazing mobile opportunity that lies before them there. 

I'll be sharing about mobile ministry in general as well as mobile media ministry in specific.  One of the key points will be that Africa isn't just "mobile first", it is "mobile only".  Additionally, I'll be pointing out how the world has gone from a total of only 100 million phones present less than a decade ago to having 1.5 billion camera phones sold in 2012 alone!  What a revolution in the Church's ability to produce powerful, contextually appropriate media at a grass roots level.

While this blog post can't share everything I am presenting I do want to give you a peek at the equipment I'll be leaving behind with some of the teams to enable them to implement new mobile media ministries.  One kit is an audio/video production set-up that will enable a local team to produce new culturally appropriate media.  The second kit is a tablet ministry set-up that will enable teams to pilot-test tablet media ministry in their locations.
