Never forget that, in addition to being the most widespread media consumption platform available, the mobile phone is the most widespread media creation platform on the face of the planet. This is key when considering how the emerging church in many of the poorest regions of the world might produce media to help believers grow in their faith as well as media that shares the good news in a contextually appropriate manner.
Journalism is pursuing ways reporters can capture and report the news via their mobile devices. The Knight Digital Media Center, journalism's leading think tank, recently put on a training seminar on the subject at U.C. Berkeley. Perhaps you can find a takeaway or two that the Church can catch ahold of and implement for God's glory.
